
Ben previously served as a Vice President at JPMorgan Chase in New York, where he was responsible for a $10 billion portfolio of credit exposures. Ben’s work in JPMorgan’s Credit Portfolio Risk Management department contributed to the bank’s stability through the 2007-2009 financial crisis.
Ben completed an MBA in Finance at Wharton in 2008, which he completed with full scholarship and support from JPMorgan. While there, he earned a rare A+ in one of Wharton’s most quantitatively challenging classes: “Mathematical Modeling and its Applications in Finance.” Previously in his career, Ben served as an equity analyst both at JPMorgan and William Blair.
He has been twice recognized as a “Top Up-and-Coming Analyst” by Institutional Investor Magazine. He has lectured at Marymount College in Manhattan on Financial Statement Analysis and at Northwestern University on Private Equity.
He earned a BA with honors in Economics at the University of Chicago, completed additional study at New York University and at the University of Mississippi, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Ben lives in Chicago with his wife Jennifer and their two daughters.
